GenTidy

Generate AI images. Keep every one of them findable.

GenTidy is an AI image generator and image library for creators. Pick a layout, pick a style, describe your idea, and generate. Every image stays with its prompt (and, in the Mac app, its versions), so you can find an old result and reuse its prompt instead of starting over.

Start with a layout, then choose a style

Most AI images go wrong before the prompt is even written: the composition is off for the job. GenTidy starts with structure.

Choose a layout, add a style, and GenTidy assembles a prompt you can copy or generate right away. Example:

Layout: product hero shot on a clean background, soft studio light
Style: loose ink lines with gentle watercolor wash
Subject: a ceramic coffee mug on a wooden table by the window
Aspect ratio: 4:5

Images and prompts in one place

When you generate in a browser tab, the image ends up in Downloads and the prompt ends up buried in a chat. GenTidy keeps them together:

Frequently asked questions

What is GenTidy? GenTidy is an AI image generator and image library for creators. It helps you generate images and 5-second videos, then keeps each image together with its prompt (and, in the Mac app, its model and versions) so you can find and reuse it.

Who is it for? Creators who regularly make images for articles, social posts, product listings and knowledge content, and who want to find old results, reuse their prompts and clean up test shots.

Is GenTidy free? Browsing the 165 layouts and 305 style references on the homepage, combining and copying prompts, and downloading reference images are free and need no sign-up. Generating images or videos requires an account and credits.

Which AI models does GenTidy use? The web studio generates images with Seedream 5.0 Lite at 2K and 5-second videos with Seedance 1.5 Pro at 720p. In the Mac app, you can generate images through your own Codex setup or a custom OpenAI-compatible image API. You can also generate 5-second videos with Seedance, and once saved they're managed in the library alongside your images. In the Mac app's cloud mode, you can also use Seedream for images and Seedance for 5-second videos. The Mac public build is coming soon.

Do I need to be good at writing prompts? No. Pick a layout and a style, describe what you want in plain words, and GenTidy fills in the rest of the prompt. You can still edit every part of it.

Where can I download the Mac app? The Mac app's public build is coming soon. It will be available after code signing, Apple notarization and feature testing are done. You can use the web studio now.

Is my content processed locally? Generation sends your input to the model provider you choose, so a local entry point is not the same as offline generation. The Mac app does not read your clipboard in the background.

Where do the layouts and styles come from? They are adapted from the open-source handraw-style project by yang0 (MIT license, attribution required).
